Welcome to SABRAO 2026

The 16th International Conference of the Society for the Advancement of Breeding Research in Asia and Oceania (SABRAO) will be held from August 17 to 20, 2026, in Nanjing, China. The conference is organized by the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS) with the theme "Precision & Smart Breeding: Shaping a Climate-Resilient and Nourishing Future".

The conference will provide a platform for experts and scholars in the field of breeding research worldwide to share the latest research results, discuss cutting-edge issues in breeding science, and promote cooperation and development of breeding research in the Asia and Oceania region.

Conference Publication

The SABRAO Journal of Breeding and Genetics is an international journal of plant breeding and genetics research and was first published in 1969. It is the official publication of the Society for the Advancement of Breeding Research in Asia and Oceania (SABRAO).

This conference will collaborate with the Society's official journal to create a special issue. Submitted papers that are accepted will undergo a full peer-review process and be formally published in this international journal, which specializes in plant breeding and genetics and places particular emphasis on the Asian region.
